One of my friends suddenly found that her phone had put itself in “safe mode”. She had no idea how she had done it and no idea how to get it out of that mode. After looking around on the internet, I found a solution that worked for her.
Pretty easy, but it seemed to work for her.

Great advise…. for the first two attempts it did not work… finally, though there was a DOS system prompt that appeared and just clicked “reboot system”, my O+ android is out of safe mode…..

Thanks much. I do know that my phone went into “safe mode” one morning when I had set my alarm clock. I couldn’t get the alarm to shut up, so I powered down. The phone powered itself back up and went into safe mode. This may be happening to others that just are not awake enough to operate their phone, like me!
I removed the battery from my phone.
Left it off for about 10 minutes and put back in.
Turned the phone on and the safe mode was GONE!

you are life saver – “safe mode” was driving me crazy, could not figure out how it got on – would like to know how to avoid it for the future if anyone figures it out.
It just happen to me. I turned the power off and then back on and it was gone………………..

This worked the first time, but now my sony xperia T is back in safe mode and this trick is not working now :-( please help. My volume buttons don’t work either.

Omgomgomgomg!!!!!! It was super easy! I woke up with this safe mode sign oon my phone and was super afraid. But thanks to shaney I got to get out of it and play my games!!!

Its discouraging when I read all the positive comments on how powering off and volume up to take safe mode off and it doesn’t work. .. I most likely am doing wrong so I am going to try to take the battery out and see if that works. … hopefully it does!
