I can tell I’ve liked a book very much indeed when I occasionally find myself wondering what the characters are doing now…
My Mum recommended this series of books. Outlander is the first, followed by Dragonfly in Amber, Voyager, Drums of Autumn, and The Fiery Cross. At first I didn’t follow her advice, because you know how mums can be. They tell you to do things that are good for you, but not necessarily fun for you. Well, as usual (and I may not admit this in a court of law), Mum was right! Diana Gabaldon stitches a fabulously interwoven tale of love, intrigue, and adventure. Once you pick it up, you won’t be able to put it down. If you are looking to fall in love with a book (not to mention a certain character — you’ll see what I mean), this is the one to pick. I think this book might appeal to women more than men, but perhaps someone can prove me wrong?
